Ending your life is not your choice
10.30 pm.. my mobile rings and it's my daughter who is staying in the hostel doing her PG. My instinct told me that it is not good news. With a trembling voice, she said, 'Mama, I'm fine..ok..' I was puzzled. Did she call me to tell this? No, the worst is yet to come.. I waited for her to talk. 'Mama, C______ passed away..she hanged herself just an hour ago. but, don't worry, I'm ok..' I could feel the shock in her voice, or was it pain? My heart skipped a beat. In the beginning of the academic year, when we went to leave our daughter in the hostel, we got introduced to a cheerful, brilliant looking girl and her young and charming mother. She was also joining first year PG and she was also from our city. For the past ten months, how many times she had travelled with our daughter for weekends.
